The first furniture piece I build when I was about 9 years old, and was made of very low-quality scrap wood, and it looked very bad. My next and first real furniture piece was a shelf I build with 12 years out of solid slabs of oak wood. It took me a lot of time because of the milling process with just hand tools, but I learned a lot about working with hardwood and building furniture. The next year I mostly build smaller gadgets like watches, lamps, a Bluetooth speaker, and all sorts of other stuff. But then, after renovating my room, I build a second shelf as well as a sideboard. At that point, everything fit together very nicely, and especially the clocks or lamps from oak wood on the oak wood furniture I really like. I also build a so-called ``smart mirror´´, which is a mirror that also shows the time and weather at the same time, and for that, I just used a special mirror glass and an old iPad as the screen.
Night Stand Form white oak
I designed this nightstand roughly a year before I started building it, so I had plenty of time to choose the best design elements.
Due to the long design process, it wasn’t too hard building the nightstand, even though it had some big challenges.
I started to realize while building it that this was going to be my best piece of furniture, and it definitely turned out to be true.

Small cabinet with light:
I built this small cabinet from oak wood and plexiglass, and I even added integrated lighting.
I tried to hide the light source and also incorporated brass accents in the handle and hinge.

Floating shelves with light:
I replaced some old shelves I had with these ones, and these now give a much cleaner look.
To hide the cable, I slid open the wall and put a plant in front of it.

Ikea Kallax ad-on:
For a shelf in the middle of my room, I built a sliding door to create a cleaner look.
I also put a piece of oak between the shelf and the wall, even with a built-in USB-C connection.

Paper storage unit:
This paper storage unit is made to fit paper sheets on the top.
You can take off the front cover and store paper not needed that often, like documents, in there.

Mirror with rounded corners:
I bought a mirror with rounded corners, and to make it fit into the rest of my room, I built an oak frame for it.
Instead of using one big board of wood, I glued four pieces together using miters to save some wood.

Designer wall clock:
This lamp was made from a hand-drawn design, and it looks really cool on the wall.
I rounded over the corners very aggressively, so it seems to float into nowhere in the end.

Small, standing clock:
This small clock is made from oak wood and mahogany, aswell as a small clockwork.
Generally it was pretty easy to build, only the trasition from the oak wood to the mahogany wood was a bit chalenging.

Wodden world map:
This world map is made from a solid piece of oak; it looks really cool on the wall.
I made the pattern by printing out a world map, fixing it to the wood, and then carefully routing along the lines.

Couch table:
I built this couch table from oak wood, witch a really intresting base design, which was quite a challenge.
The top is glued together from a bookmatched piece of oak, the cracks I filled witch some black wood filler.

Cheap shelf add on feature:
I have a cheap ikea shelf next to my desk, but I had some problems with organisation in the past. That´s why, I decided to build this small thing from oak wood.
It has three small drawers, which run in small rabbits I maschienend in the sidewalls of the cabinet. A bit of a challenge also was, to make these drawer handels, but with some templates and a router, I eventualy got it done.

Lightend shelf:
This shelf is a really cool way to highlight special pieces, because of the light in it´s back.
The light turns on, by just touching a small piece of brass in the front. That works, because I opend up a cheap touch switch from Amazon and then solderd a piece of brass on it.

Small couch table:
I wanted to have a small table next to a armchair in my room. Thats why I decided to build this piece of furniture from oak wood.
It has a relly cool table base with angeled laegs, which are attached with small steel plates to the table top.

Bird house:
This birdhouse is great for birds in the winter, as they can get food there. It is made from oak wood and has a coat of varnish, normally used on boats, on its roof which protects it from moisture.
Although it was very time consuming, to make the shingle, it was defiently worth it considering how it turned out.

Sideboard with angled sites:
This special sideboard is made from oak wood, with a soft-close door and some accessories on top.
A big challenge was, to glue up the angled board, as I did not have to parallel clamping points. Another problem was, that the board was very crucet.

Storage box with clock:
This storage box is made of two parts, the box, and the clock. The box is made from one single piece and I filled the cracks up with epoxy.
A big challenge was, to make the box from just one piece, as I had to take away a lot of material with a router.

Floating shelfes:
These shelves look very cool, as you can’t see, how they are fixed on the wall.
Mounting them was difficult, as I used ankers in the wall and the holes needed to line up perfectly, and when I say that I really mean to the tenth of a millimeter perfect.

Wall cupboard:
This cupboard hangs on a wall and is great for storing things in it, it even has a soft close door.
As that was my first time working with cup hinges I thought it wouldn’t work, but it turned out to be really easy.

Bluetooth loudspeaker:
This Bluetooth speaker looks great, and it even has a relatively good sound quality
By using a Bluetooth module and some loudspeakers I designed and build a box from MDF and to give it some contrast, I decided to use a contrasting wood as the front.

Big shelf from white oak:
This shelf can hold a lot of books and also is a great storage space. On the one end, it has an upper part which fits perfectly there, where it is located.
This was my first big project with real wood, and it was a lot of work, to plane and sand all the 2-meter-long boards, but eventually, I was done.
